Nike was founded by Philip Knight and Bill Bowerman. The brand specializes in producing shoes, clothing, and equipment for athletes. Interestingly, the two partners started out by selling shoes imported from Japan to athletes. Philip later established the BRS Company and, together with Bill, presented sample models to athletes at the University of Oregon. Initially, the shoes were still imported from Japan until the Japanese decided to enter the American market. It was then that the two partners decided to create Nike and stop reselling shoes from another company.

Nike expanded its reach into other sports and began offering models that became popular in the streetwear fashion scene. The Nike Sacai Vaporwaffle Dark Iris is a sneaker with a unique style and a design ahead of its time. The shoe's upper is made of yellow nylon mesh with green suede accents that complement the front area. The heel counter is crafted from green leather, and the laces are split between white and black. The sole is also split, featuring a black outsole and a white midsole.

As part of the Nike Sacai Vaporwaffle collection, which is a collaboration with the Japanese brand Sacai, the designs of these shoes have been widely embraced by sneaker enthusiasts. Following the success, the collaboration has also resulted in the creation of the Nike Sacai Vaporwaffle Tan Blue Sesame and the Nike Sacai Vaporwaffle Tour Yellow Stadium Green.
