The name Nike is inspired by Niké, the Greek goddess of Victory. Whether it was a simple intuition or not, it must be acknowledged that this brand has truly had a glorious journey. Nike was founded by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman. At the beginning, the two partners imported cheaper running shoes from Japan. Phil Knight then created Blue Ribbon Sports to order shoe samples for Oregon athletes. They ran this lucrative business for 7 years until the Japanese entered the market themselves. That's when they decided to create an American shoe manufactured by themselves. Nike was born.


To this day, the brand with the Swoosh logo has many iconic sneakers. The Free 99 Black is a marvel. Its various colorways give it an unmatched aesthetic appeal. It features a black base contrasted by pastel colors. The shoe's mudguard is green, while the eyelets are yellow. Black laces complement the leather upper.
